The Bridge Tender’s Studio is a magical place…

Perched on the banks of the Alabama River and quietly nestled against the bluff — outside of the stress and demands of everyday life.

What?

A creative personal retreat at the Bridge Tender’s House, with art, the river and stillness, could be the gift that lasts a lifetime.

There will be time and space for art, walks, journal writing, meditation, perusing Anne’s personal spiritual, decorating and art book collections in the cottage library and perhaps even conversations on the river porch. The St. James Hotel lounge and dining room is just a step away.

How?

Both the lower floor and the upper floor of the Bridge Tender's Cottage are available for booking on AirBnb. The accommodations are located in a wonderful structure that has spanned three centuries.

You can visit Anne's Studio in downtown Selma by appointment. Please call 662-801-0864 or email meeanne@bellsouth.net.

Why?

Sometimes you need to give yourself the same priority you would give a friend or family member and claim a restorative time out for yourself or bring a friend or loved one just for a getaway.

Where?

The Bridge Tender’s twin porches extend over the river where one can see both the sunrise upriver and the sunset over the iconic Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama. Although the decor is uniquely artistic and filled with fun surprises amid the vintage and antique collections, it has all the warmth and charm of a 19th century Victorian Cottage.
